The staff are the best thing about this accommodation. I was genuinely surprised because I made the rookie mistake of booking and paying online first, and THEN read reviews on Google. It worried me seeing the scathing reviews about the place, which set in a lot of regret. But can you imagine, to my surprise upon arrival, that the treatment and service I got was the complete opposite? The staff here were absolutely amazing, going above and beyond for every need, genuinely friendly too. For this particular stay, I was here for a few days before heading to Hamilton for the WasteMINZ conference 2024, and would return to Auckland the following week. You bet that I definitely returned here 😀 And yes, the staff are still as amazing as before. (Tip: If you don't plan on using a rental car, ask for room 118 if you stay here, it's such a nice room.)

Likes- It has almost everything for the budget traveller, always clean and tidy. If we needed something it was provided. Friendly, helpful staff with a 24 hr reception. In house restaurant with food/drinks competitively priced. A car rental next door, others nearby. Great location close to the Auckland Airport with a free shuttle bus drop off/pick up at the door (pick up/ drop off at stop 4 at International terminal). Dislikes- Decor is a bit tired and could do with a freshen up, however you pay for what you get. We weren’t staying at the Taj Mahal.

Although the rooms are a little dated and could do with some upgrade in some areas, the spacious rooms and facilities in the room and on site are great. We always stay here and will return again. There is a restaurant on site for convenience and the food is reasonably priced. Also a launderette on site and there was a microwave in our room. The beds are comfortable and the airport bus picks up and drops off at this hotel.

Lady at the desk was knowledgeable and helped us with check-in. Room was quite large and had everything we needed! On the day of check-out, we woke up late and missed the shuttle bus - the Indian man at reception immediately booked taxi vans for us. He even stayed with us until we had all our luggage loaded! Absolutely excellent experience, we were very thankful.

Good size room, comfy bed, great shower. I prefer this to all the other Auckland airport hotels I've tried. It's the best value for money.
